Bukayo Saka has put pen to paper at Arsenal and signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 18-year-old has impressed massively in his breakthrough year at Arsenal and has thrived under Mikel Arteta.
The full-back cum winger has earned plenty of praise from team-mates and pundits this term and is expected to have a more attacking say in Arsenal’s future.
“Bukayo is a talented and intelligent young player,” Arteta said.
“He has impressed me with his work ethic and attitude to learn and adapt, and it has paid off in his performances. I am excited to continue working with him to develop him further, and for him to help us achieve our goals.”
Saka himself tweeted immediately after the news was announced.
“London is my home,” he said. “Arsenal my team. I’m so happy to finally announce my contract extension. I love playing for this club and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.
“The hard work continues so I can continue living my dream. God is Great!!”
Technical director Edu Gaspar added: “This is something everyone involved wanted to happen and we are delighted that Bukayo has signed a new long-term contract.
“He’s making great progress and is one of a number of young players who have developed through our academy. This is so important for us as we move forward as a club.”

Arsenal were feeling the heat from fans who were desperate for Saka to sign and stay at the club. Frustrations were rising with reports of Premier League winners Liverpool keen on the teenager.
But now Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be the other main name Arsenal fans want to see tied down.
The striker is out of contract at the end of next season and both Real Madrid and Barcelona have been mooted with making moves for him.
