Everton agree £25million transfer for Napoli midfielder Allan with personal terms to come

Everton have agreed a £25m deal for Napoli midfielder Allan.

The Toffees will now finalise personal terms with the Brazilian ahead of a medical.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti had made it clear he was the midfielder he wanted this summer.

And the Italian has got his man, who he also worked when he was in charge of the Serie A club.

Allan, 29, has been with Napoli since 2015 and made over 200 appearances for the club.

Ancelotti has been keen to bolster his central midfield options this summer.

Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure is also a target for the Toffees.

But Allan will be their first signing of the summer as they finally get down to business.

Everton are also making moves for Real Madrid ace James Rodriguez.

Ancelotti also worked with Rodriguez during his time at the Spanish giants.

Rodriguez, 29, has fallen out of favour with Real and spent two years on loan at Bayern Munich without securing a permanent deal.

He made just eight appearances last season for the La Liga side.

Ancelotti feels he can get the best out of the Colombian attacking midfielder in the Premier League.

Rodriguez signed for Madrid in 2014 for around £65m from Monaco.

But he has just one year left on his current contract in Spain and Everton will hope to secure a deal.
