The Manchester City striker has been widely condemned for touching Massey-Ellis on her shoulder while complaining about a throw-in decision handed to Arsenal.
“He shouldn’t put his hand on the assistant referee,” Premier League legend Alan Shearer said. “It just wasn’t a good look, was it? He shouldn’t do it.”

Fellow England great, Ian Wright, added: “What was that? Unnecessary, unnecessarily patronising. It felt really awkward.”
Meanwhile, New Zealand international Rosie White tweeted: “Well that was not okay… Aguero wtf.”
But Aguero has no case to answer in an official capacity after England’s professional refereeing body deemed his action was not aggressive or threatening, The Guardian reported.
Under the rules, a player has not committed an offence when touching an official unless it is done in either an aggressive or threatening manner.

When asked about the incident after the game, City manager Pep Guardiola was quick to defend Aguero.
“Hey, come on guys. Come on guys,” he said.
“Sergio is the nicest person I ever met in my life. We can look at the problems in other situations but not in this one. Come on.”
