Last week Bruno Fernandes missed his first penalty in a league match since 2016.
He had nailed ten consecutive spot kicks for Manchester United since joining in January too but was denied in his eleventh attempt by Newcastle United’s Karl Darlow.
It appeared as if Fernandes had lost his mojo when he again missed another penalty shot in United’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

That was, until some early drama saw a retake awarded.
Both sides were locked at 0-0 early in the contest before the penalty was handed to the Red Devils following 20 minutes of play.
It came after Abdou Diallo fouled Anthony Martial, with a VAR check revealing a penalty was sufficient.
Fernandes stepped up to the spot but had his first attempt saved by Keylor Navas.
It was his first attempt because Navas would be pinged for encroaching, meaning that Fernandes got another chance to redeem himself for the miss.
He, of course, made no mistake this time as he sent Navas the wrong way to slot the goal and hand United an early lead.
