Joe Cole says Christian Pulisic is one of Chelsea’s most potent attackers as he can ‘do everything’ that is required from a forward.
The American enjoyed an impressive debut season for the Blues in the 2019/20 campaign, registering 10 goals and 11 assists in all competitions.
Pulisic’s progress was brought to a halt when he pulled up with a hamstring injury in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal in August.
The 22-year-old was sidelined for an extended period and only returned to action earlier this month, coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
Pulisic is now beginning to get back to his best and scored his first goal of the season in Chelsea’s impressive 4-0 victory over Krasnodar on Wednesday night.
Calum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech all got on the scoresheet as Frank Lampard’s side picked up their first win in the Champions League group stages this season.
After the game, Blues winger Cole labelled Pulisic as one of their ‘most important’ attacking players.
‘This lad’s a real talent,’ Cole told BT Sport after the game. ‘It was a big miss not having him at the start of the season.
‘I would argue he’s one of the most important players in Chelsea’s attacking third because he can do everything, Pulisic.

‘He can dribble, run without the ball, he gets in and scores goals.
‘Frank will be delighted. He couldn’t have written the script better, all the front boys scoring, everyone involved, another clean sheet and it’s an impressive evening for the club.’
