Man Utd fans spot David De Gea’s reaction to Marcus Rashford’s winner in fresh footage

Manchester United fans loved David de Gea’s reaction to Marcus Rashford’s winner against Wolves after fresh footage was shared on social media.

Rashford left it late to send Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side second in the Premier League, scoring in the third minute of injury time in Tuesday’s clash at Old Trafford.

The striker hadn’t had one of his best games for United, who were headed for a frustrating 0-0 draw after failing to break down Wolves’ stubborn defence.

But as the clock ticked towards full time, Rashford was found by Bruno Fernandes in the visitors’ 18-yard area and coolly engineered himself some space before lashing home the last-gasp decider.

And footage has emerged which showed just how much Rashford’s winner meant to David de Gea.

In a video clip shared on TikTok, De Gea can be seen punching the air after his team-mate scores, with the United keeper repeatedly shouting ‘Vamos’ (Spanish for ‘let’s go’).

It’s no wonder De Gea was loving it, as the goal moved United to within touching distance of fierce rivals Liverpool.

The Red Devils are now just three points behind the Premier League leaders with a game in hand, heading into what will now be a huge showdown at Anfield on January 17.

And United fans reckoned De Gea’s response was the reaction of a player who knows he’s in a title race.

“The only player at United playing in the first team who has won the title, he knows that you need to win ugly if you want to win it all,” said one supporter after the clip after it was posted on Reddit.

Another said: “I really want to see De Gea with the PL trophy. If there is one man who deserves it, it’s him.”

Other fans said the clip showed De Gea’s passion for United, while one supporter said: “God I love our team spirit at the moment.”

United could go level on points with Liverpool on New Year’s Day when fifth-placed Aston Villa visit Old Trafford.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are not in action until Monday, when they visit Southampton in their final Premier League game before the visit of United in just over two weeks’ time.
