Everton winger Bernard’s agent has refused to rule out a potential swap deal which would see the Brazilian leave Goodison Park in January.
The 28-year-old has been limited to just six Premier League appearances so far this term as competition to break into Carlo Ancelotti’s side has been strong.
Bernard has been an important member of the Everton squad since making the free transfer to the club in the summer of 2018, racking up 75 games in his time at the club since then.
However, multiple rumours across the last few weeks and months have linked the winger with a potential switch to Roma – with his agent Adriano Spadotto commenting on those reports recently.
The Brazilian’s representative revealed that a potential swap deal could be possible between Everton and the Serie A side, which would see goalkeeper Robin Olsen move the other way on a permanent basis.

Last week, Ancelotti confirmed that Everton were interested in a permanent switch for Olsen, who has made three appearances so far for Everton in all competitions.
Rumours have circulated around the future of Bernard for some time now, but his representative also revealed that there had only been talks with Roma’s manager thus far, and not with new director Tiago Pinto.
Spadotto added: “I’ve talked about it several times, but only with Paulo Fonseca.”
Bernard has made nine appearances in all competitions for the Blues in 2020/21, scoring twice.
