It was reported in December that Chelsea were among the clubs keen on landing Erling Haaland, the prolific Borussia Dortmund goalscorer.
Manchester United and Real Madrid’s interest in the Norway international is already known – but Chelsea could be tempted to swoop.
Lampard has clearly grown frustrated with Timo Werner already, with the Germany international on a run of 12 matches without a goal.
And, in Haaland, he’d be signing the real deal.
Of course, it seems unlikely right now. But Chelsea have shown their savvy side in the transfer window before – so could do so again.
