Amad Diallo insists it’s a “dream come true” having finally completed his switch from Atalanta to Manchester United.
The two clubs had agreed a deal in the summer with the 18-year-old having finally made the move earlier this month.
Diallo is regarded as a hot prospect and is expected to train with the first team while gaining experience of English football with the Red Devils Under-23s.
But, whatever Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decides to do with the winger, he can’t wait to get going at Old Trafford.
“I’m over the moon to be here,” Diallo told his new club’s official website. “I’m so excited to start here at Manchester United.
“It’s a dream come true and I can’t wait to start and play with the guys.
“It’s been a little bit strange these last few months. I would have hoped to have played a little bit more with Atalanta, but it wasn’t possible.
“Now I’m here and I’m very happy to be here. I’m expecting a lot from my experience here and I’m looking forward to starting.”
Diallo made just two appearances for Serie A side Atalanta this season following the agreement with Manchester United.
And Solskjaer had previously said they will give the new man a chance to bed in given his move.
The boss had explained: “I’m very excited about bringing him in, I think he’s shown a few times his qualities.
“Of course he has to learn to play in England, that’s a different level of football. We’ll give him time to develop and to express himself.
“Apart from that, I’m not really thinking too much on what we’re going to do with players [in the January transfer window].”
