It’s expected to be a busy summer transfer window for Liverpool with all of the injury problems Jurgen Klopp has had to contend with this season.
The Reds have had largely the same squad for three whole seasons now, bar a few additions, and it has been suggested that fresh faces could solve some of Klopp ‘s problems at Anfield.
As well as this, there are some players that could be set to leave the current champions once the season is over.
With all this being said, we have rounded up the very latest Liverpool-related transfer rumours and stories from around Europe.
Kylian Mbappe’s Liverpool odds
Paris Saint-Germain and France winger Kylian Mbappe
Kylian Mbappe is 3/1 to join Liverpool as his next club.
The PSG winger, who scored a hat-trick against Barcelona in their Champions League last-16 tie, is in the final 18 months of his contract and has been linked with a move to Merseyside previously.
If PSG want to recoup a big fee for the 22-year-old, they must sell this summer.
And per Betfair, Liverpool’s odds are being his next club are 3/1. Only Real Madrid, at 2/1, are stronger favourites to sign Mbappe next.
Manchester City are third favourites at 6/1, with Barcelona, 8/1, and Manchester United, 10/1, rounding out the top five.
Caleta-Car opens up on Liverpool offer
Marseille and Croatia defender Duje Caleta-Car.
Caleta-Car has admitted he had the chance to sign for Liverpool in the January transfer window.
The Reds were desperate for reinforcements at centre-back due to injuries to Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip and ended up signing Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak on deadline day.
A host of other defenders were linked with a move to Anfield before the late double signing, including Caleta-Car.
The Croatia international has now opened up on the opportunity he was handed to sign for Klopp’s side late on in the window.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday ahead of Marseille’s clash with Nice, the 24-year-old said: “Today, there is the Champions League, and I am going to watch the two games (Barcelona v Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig v Liverpool).
“I received an offer from Liverpool. It was an honour for me to know that such a club wanted me.
“We decided with the club that I was going to stay. Marseille is also a great club and I still have a lot of improving to do here.”
