Micah Richards excited fans as Manchester United legend Roy Keane continues to be linked to the Celtic job.
Keane has been out of the dugout for a number of years but could head to Glasgow following the departure of Neil Lennon.
The former Celtic midfielder has been a regular on TV screens alongside former Manchester City star Richards this season.
Fans love the relationship the pair seem to have in the Sky Sports studio and have tipped Richards to be Keane’s potential assistant.
And the ex-defender did nothing to lower that excitement, tweeting a GIF of Steve Carrell in The Office US.
The image is captioned: “Oh, my God! Okay, it’s happening!”
Though Richards later added: “Afraid I wouldn’t have any idea on Roy, I always get ‘this call can’t be connected’ whenever I try to ring him. Strange.”
John Kennedy is in charge of Celtic on an interim basis until the end of the current season.
Though Keane’s odds to take over have dramatically cut recently despite it being ten years since his last managerial role.
Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Following a flurry of bets on Roy Keane to become the next Celtic manager, Betfair has suspended betting on who will take over at Celtic Park.
“On Monday, Keane was 15/2 to take over from Neil Lennon but punters heavily backed the Irishman into 1/3 before the market was suspended on Thursday afternoon.
“It seems clear to punters that Celtic are ready to name their new manager and that Roy Keane will be walking through the door any time now.”
