Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has declared that Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is the type of guy “you want to play with.”
The Blues number 9 netted twice for England in their 5-0 thrashing of minnows San Marino at Wembley to take his running total this season for club and country to 23.
However, it was one of the Sheffield-born player’s international team-mates currently missing from Gareth Southgate’s squad through injury that has most impressed him.
Capped for the first time back in October when he scored against Wales, Goal quote Calvert-Lewin as having no hesitation in telling Sky Sports Super 6 podcast who stood out the most during his first experience with England.
He said: “My favourite player was Jack Grealish; top man!
“He is a naturally gifted footballer and for me, he is a joy to watch. If I could watch any player play, it would be him. He can do everything – he is exciting and tries to make things happen.
“I see him up close in training – because he is a relaxed guy, as soon as he is on the training pitch and the ball comes out, he is operating on a different level.
“For me to play with him as a centre-forward, they are the type of guys you want to play with because he is making things happen and he set my debut goal up.

“It was only a matter of time until he got his chance, he just had to stay consistent and keep doing what he was doing. When he played I thought he played really well.”
Villa captain Grealish has been previously linked with a move to Everton but potential suitors seem to have been so far put off by the gargantuan price tag the Midlanders have seemingly placed on their prize asset.
However, given the way Calvert-Lewin thrives on quality service into the box, his remarks might just provide food for thought for manager Carlo Ancelotti and director of football Marcel Brands.
