Chelsea are willing to let winger Callum Hudson-Odoi leave the club this summer, with Dortmund leading the race to sign the England international.
The 20-year-old was keen on joining Bayern Munich in 2019 but he signed a new £120,000-a-week deal to stay at Stamford Bridge following Frank Lampard’s appointment.
Thomas Tuchel appeared to take a liking to Hudson-Odoi on his arrival in west London but the winger has struggled for game time under the German and has made just ten starts in all competitions this term.
His situation has alerted Dortmund, who are searching for a replacement for Jadon Sancho.
The former Manchester City ace is keen on joining Manchester United this summer and the Red Devils are confident of landing the right winger after Dortmund lowered their asking price to around £75m.
Chelsea have shown a tentative interest in Sancho but the winger’s preference is Old Trafford and Eurosport claim the Blues could aid United’s move for the 20-year-old by allowing Hudson-Odoi to move to Dortmund.
Hudson-Odoi wants regular first-team football and Tuchel has a variety of wingers to choose from, with Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner all ahead of the Englishman in the pecking order.
It’s likely Chelsea would favour a loan deal for Hudson-Odoi to Germany but a permanent move to the club has not been ruled out.
Dortmund are also keeping an eye on Leeds playmaker Raphinha, as well as Lille wide man Jonathan Ikone.
