Thierry Henry stunned Belgium stars Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne with a ridiculous, left-footed free-kick in training on Sunday ahead of their final Euro 2020 group game.

The Frenchman, who was part of the Red Devils’ backroom team at the World Cup three years ago, re-joined Roberto Martinez’s staff shortly before the start of the tournament citing ‘unfinished business’.

Henry has been helping put the Belgium squad through their paces, though showed up some of the players as they practised taking free-kicks ahead of facing Finland on Monday.

The Arsenal legend only needed one attempt to hit the back of the net, doing his signature skip before planting the ball past keeper Matz Sels in the top corner as the watching players went berserk.

Henry strutted off towards the camera after dispatching his free-kick and was promptly mobbed by the players, with Lukaku grabbing France’s all-time record goalscorer and telling him he has done enough training for the day.

‘Come man,’ said Lukaku as he took Henry by the arm and dragged him off the training pitch. ‘Record top scorers don’t need this man! Come on man!’

Manchester City star De Bruyne looked aghast at the 43-year-old Henry’s moment of magic, having been trying to score for 30 minutes before the former Barcelona man stepped up.

‘That’s the issue, we’ve been training for half an hour, we scored a few, he just goes with his left and killed us,’ said De Bruyne. ‘And we have a game tomorrow!’

From the side of the pitch, Lukaku chimed in: ‘Yo this guy retired for 10 years, he killed my whole country man!’

Napoli attacker Dries Mertens even suggested Belgium should try and draft Henry into their team, quipping: ‘Can he come in after?’

Belgium won their opening two matches of Euro 2020 against Russia and Denmark and top Group B on six points, with Martinez expected to rotate his team for their final match against Finland.
