Manchester United have officially expressed an interest in signing French sensation Eduardo Camavinga with talks planned next week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are thought to be closing in on a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho with a centre-half and central midfielder also on the manager’s wish list.
The club have now shifted their focus on 18-year-old Rennes star Camavinga, according to RMC Sport and will meet with the player’s representatives next week with hope of convincing him to head to Old Trafford.
Camavinga, capped three times by France, is one of Europe’s most highly-rated young talents and is also wanted by Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Staying in France is thought to be his priority but United will hope to change his mind.
Camavinga is represented by Jonathan Barnett who revealed last month there have been a number of offers for the midfielder’s services.
‘Believe me we have a lot of offers for this year, a lot of offers, and good ones,’ Camavinga’s representative, Jonathan Barnett, told SNTV.
‘I mean top, top clubs. We don’t want to rush. There is the right time to move on and playing games is the most important thing at his age.
‘Playing in a good club is nice for him. It might be this year, or he wants to have another year.

‘He has got to talk to his family, his father. We will all sit down and decide. We will talk to Rennes as well and decide. There is no rush for him.’
Arsenal meanwhile have reportedly made Camavinga their ‘priority’ target and are said to be working behind the scenes to sign the sought-after Rennes midfielder this summer.
According to French outlet Le 10 Sport, Arsenal are firmly in the mix and are ‘doing everything to be perfectly positioned’ for Camavinga’s signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
