Gary Neville has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to offload four Manchester United players to fund a move for Harry Kane this summer. Kane wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur, with Manchester City heavily interested in signing him before the August 31 deadline.
Neville believes Solskjaer needs a new striker to challenge Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City for the Premier League title.
The Man United great suggested Anthony Martial, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata should make way to fund Kane’s arrival.
“I think United will need a centre-forward in the next 12 months [if they are going to challenge again],” Neville explained on Monday Night Football.
“[Kane] is available now if you pay £150m. They’ve got Martial, James, Mata and Lingard; we could do without them at the club.
“I think personally that Kane would be a differentiator. I’m just asking the question as to why they’re not in for them.”
